It is true that a CT will pick up a tumour, but it may also show a shadow if there has been infection present for a while (this may be low level that you haven’t noticed) tumors may of course, be benign, eg: non malignant. Most shadows that show up on prostates on that sort of ultrasound aren't cancer, and many cancers don't show up on ultrasound.
